Little Monsters Red Band Trailer Drops Lupita Nyong'o Into a Kindergarten Zombie Apocalypse

Altitude Films has dropped the trailer for Little Monsters. Lupita Nyong'o stars in the dark comedy as a teacher trying to protect children from a zombie apocalypse and the trailer proves that it will be a lot harder than it sounds. The Australian zombie comedy doesn't have a release date set for North America at this time, but one should be announced shortly. Little Monsters premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.

Lupita Nyong'o stars as Miss Caroline, who is a bubbly kindergarten teacher. She brings her students to a petting zoo and all hell breaks loose as the zombies start eating the animals. The trailer, which is the Red Band trailer, shows Nyong'o trying to explain to the children that the zombies are just playing a weird game of tag before trying to get to safety. Josh Gad's Teddy McGiggle is an alcoholic TV personality who doesn't seem to care if Miss Caroline and all of the children end up getting turned into zombies.

After a rough breakup, directionless Dave (Alexander England) crashes at his sister's place and spends his days expanding his young nephew's questionable vocabulary. When an opportunity arises to chaperone an upcoming school excursion alongside the charming and enigmatic teacher Miss Caroline, Dave jumps at the chance to impress her. What he wasn't anticipating was Teddy McGiggle, an obnoxious children's television personality who shapes the excursion's activities. What he was expecting even less was a zombie invasion, which unfolds after an experiment at a nearby military base goes awry. Armed only with the resourcefulness of kindergartners, Dave, Miss Caroline, and Teddy must work together to keep the monsters at bay and carve a way out with their guts intact.

The zombies in Little Monsters are a result of a failed military experiment and they soon grow tired of eating the animals at the petting zoo. The zombie comedy has been described as an R-rated Pixar movie, and that may not be too far off. The trailer shows plenty of wholesome goodness with the kindergarten class, but it also has a ton of gore, which is a bit shocking after seeing young children at a petting zoo. One minute the cute animals are being observed and the next they are a graphic zombie feast.

Little Monsters, not to be confused with the 1989 movie of the same name starring Fred Savage and Howie Mandel, hits theaters in the United Kingdom on November 15th. Neon and Hulu acquired the domestic rights at the Sundance Film Festival, but no North American release date has been announced at this time. The Sundance premiere generated a lot of critical acclaim, so hopefully we'll get a release date in the next few weeks. In the meantime, you can check out the Red Band trailer for Little Monsters below, thanks to the Altitude Films YouTube channel.

Good Boys Red Band Trailer #2 Rips Seth Rogen a New One

We have a brand new red-band trailer for Good Boys. The upcoming, R-rated comedy stars Jacob Tremblay, Brady Noon and Keith L. Williams as a trio of young kids who are at a transitional period in their lives and, as much as people like to think of this as an innocent time in one's life, it's anything but innocent, an idea this trailer takes to the extreme. This movie, produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, looks to add a whole lot of good-natured filth to the coming of age genre.

The video kicks off, much like the first red-band trailer, with producer Seth Rogen telling the trio of young cast members that they can't watch the trailer for their own movie, since it's too raunchy. The boys then persist to explain that they've seen some of his inappropriate for kids movies, such as Superbad and Sausage Party. And they also decide to criticize said movies, right to Rogen's face, which leads the actor/writer/producer/director to verbally retaliate in hilarious fashion.

We then get into the actual trailer, which further asserts what has already been made clear in previous trailers; these good boys are absolutely bad, even if they're unwittingly bad. It is loaded down with language that would make Captain America blush, tons of wildly inappropriate situations that sixth-grade kids should not be in and over-the-top hijinks. As much as it feels like every joke in the movie has been thrown into this footage, as someone who has seen it, I can assure you, there is plenty more where this came from.

Good Boys centers on a group of best friends who have just been invited to their first kissing party. 12-year-old Max (Jacob Tremblay) is panic mode, as he doesn't know how to kiss. Eager to learn, he and his best friends Thor (Brady Noon) and Lucas (Keith L. Williams) decide to use Max's dad's drone to spy on a teenage couple making out next door. Unfortunately, things go terribly wrong when the drone is destroyed. The boys must try to replace it before Max's dad gets home, leading them to skip school and set off on an adventure filled with epically bad decisions that involve accidentally stolen drugs, frat-house paintball, and running from both the cops.

The cast also includes Molly Gordon, Lil Rel Howery, Will Forte and Midori Francis. Gene Stupnitsky is in the director's chair, working from a script he co-wrote alongside Lee Eisenberg. The movie debuted earlier this year at SXSW, where it was met with solid praise. As of this writing, it currently holds a 78 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. We'll have an interview with the cast and filmmakers coming your way soon. In the meantime, be sure to check out the new trailer from the Universal Pictures YouTube channel for yourself. Good Boys is set to arrive in theaters on August 16.

Red Sea Diving Resort Trailer Turns Chris Evans Into a Real-Life Hero

Netflix has released the first trailer for The Red Sea Diving Resort. This is a movie that the streaming service picked up the rights to back in February and, apparently, they didn't want to wait forever to get it out into the world, as it will be making its debut in just a couple of weeks. This first trailer showcases a harrowing true story with Captain America himself, Chris Evans, playing the real-life hero at the center of it all. This is also notable as it marks his first role in a movie following the release of Avengers: Endgame, which may well have been his last go-around in the MCU.

As for the trailer itself, it paints a picture of a rag-tag group, led by Chris Evans, who must rescue a bunch of people from Ethiopia during a terrible genocide. It sets the stage for a very high-risk mission. Things are incredibly tense. It's a mix of action, drama and character. Everything also looks very slick. The scale truly feels large. Also, not for nothing, but those who were mourning the loss of Captain America's beard after Infinity War will be happy to see that Evans is back to his bearded ways here. But, more importantly, this gives us a glimpse at what his future could look like beyond Marvel movies.

Gideon Raff serves as writer and director. Raff is known best for creating the series Prisoners of War, which was adapted in America as the acclaimed drama Homeland. He also created the short-lived Tyrant, as well as Dig and the upcoming miniseries The Spy. He's largely directed TV, but he has helmed some features before, such as 2007's The Killing Floor and 2008's Train. But this is his first full-length feature in a decade.

The Red Sea Diving Resort centers on a series of remarkable rescue missions that are inspired by real events. The movie tells the story of a group of international agents and brave Ethiopians who made use of a deserted holiday retreat in Sudan in the early 80s as a front to smuggle thousands of refugees to Israel. Ari Levinson (Chris Evans) was the charismatic leader who headed up the team. Levinson worked with a brave local named Kabede Bimro (Michael Kenneth Williams), who worked tirelessly to help his people.

This comes as Netflix will be facing down some stiff competition in the streaming game, with Disney+, Apple+ and HBO Max all coming down the pipeline. Plus, the streaming service recently decided to tighten up their spending on big-budget projects, as some of their more hefty investments, such as Triple Frontier, haven't quite paid off. The rest of the ensemble cast includes Haley Bennett, Alessandro Nivola, Michiel Huisman, Alex Hassell, Mark Ivanir, Greg Kinnear and Ben Kingsley. The Red Sea Diving Resort arrives on July 31. Be sure to check out the trailer from the Netflix streaming YouTube channel for yourself.
