A Pitch Black Modern Fairytale from Bong Joon-Ho

Neon has unveiled the first trailer for Parasite. This is the latest from acclaimed director Bong Joon-Ho, who previously helmed beloved movies such as Snowpiercer and Okja. This time around, the filmmaker has turned his attention toward a Korean-language drama that has about as much buzz on it as any movie of this size possibly can at this point in the year. And after watching this first trailer, it's easy to see why.

The trailer has something of a quirky vibe to it at the start. We see a distinction painted between two families on very opposite sides of the socioeconomic spectrum; one affluent and one not so much. They end up mixing it up with one another and that presents some pretty unique situations. However, it's obvious something is hiding underneath the surface level story, which isn't revealed by this trailer. Though, the critical boastings that are pasted all over the back half of the trailer make it clear this movie has some surprises in store for viewers.

Parasite took home the Palme d'Or, the top prize at Cannes earlier this year, which put it on the radar in a big way. The cast includes Song Kang Ho, Lee Sun Kyun, Cho Yeo Jeong, Choi Woo Shik and Park So Dam. While it's clear the studio wants to keep the mystery intact, in an interview with High On Films after its Cannes debut, Joon-ho Bong explained what he wants people to take away from the experience, which is, in itself, revealing.

"I just hope that it gives audiences a lot to think about. It is in parts funny, frightening, and sad, and if it makes viewers feel like sharing a drink and talking over all the ideas they had while watching it, I'll wish for nothing more."

Parasite centers on the Park family, the picture of aspirational wealth, as well as the Kim Family, who are rich in street smarts, but that's about it. Through either chance or fate, these two families are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. A plan is cooked up by the college-aged Ki-woo whereby the Kim children position themselves as tutor and art therapist to the Parks. Soon, a mutually beneficial relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide luxury services while the Parks bankroll their entire household. However, things change when a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims' situation and a savage fight for dominance erupts, threatening to topple the whole thing.

So far, critics have responded very kindly to the poignant drama, as it holds a perfect 100 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with 70 reviews counted. Surely the studio is banking on that love carrying it to box office success, as well as some possible Oscar nominations a little later in the year. Parasite is set to arrive in theaters in the U.S. on October 11. Be sure to check out the trailer for yourself from the Neon YouTube channel.

Emilia Clarke Stars in George Michael Inspired Holiday Rom-Com

Ever wondered what a Christmas-themed romantic comedy inspired by the songs of George Michael might look like? And what if that very same movie was directed by the guy who made Bridesmaids and starred Khaleesi from Game of Thrones as a singing elf? We need no longer wonder, as Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Last Christmas, which is exactly that.

The movie is headlined by Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) and comes from director Paul Feig (A Simple Favor, Spy). The romantic comedy was indeed inspired by the songs of the Grammy-winning artist.

The trailer kicks off by setting up Emilia Clarke's character, who is clearly not having the time of her life currently. She then has a chance encounter with Henry Golding and, despite getting some bird poop in her eye at first, the two strike up an unlikely romance. There are quite a few emotional elements thrown into the mix and it looks like this is going to be playing around with some typical rom-com tropes.

Paul Feig most recently directed last year's thriller A Simple Favor, which was critically embraced and was something of a sleeper hit, grossing just shy of $100 million at the box office. While Feig hasn't quite tackled a romcom before, this does seem to be up his alley. The cast also includes Emma Thompson (Late Night) and Michelle Yeoh (Star Trek: Discovery). Thompson, in addition to her starring role, also co-wrote the screenplay alongside acclaimed playwright Bryony Kimmings.

Last Christmas centers on Kate (Emilia Clarke) who is living a rather grumpy existence in London. She's made quite a few bad decisions accompanied and works as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. Tom (Henry Golding) seems too good to be true when they meet on a chance encounter. He starts to see through Kate's many walls. As London transforms for the holiday season, nothing should work for these two and yet, it does.

Aside from simply being inspired by the songs of George Michael, the movie features some of his actual music, including the holiday classic for which the movie is named. Last Christmas will also premiere brand new unreleased material by the artist. David Livingstone, Emma Thompson, Paul Feig and Jessie Henderson serve as producers.

This is poised to become a potential hit for the holiday season. Not only does the movie boasts a likable ensemble from a proven director, but it's coming out at just the right time. Last Christmas is set to arrive in theaters on November 8 and doesn't have a ton of direct competition for this kind of movie in the lead up to Christmas, meaning it could have long legs at the box office. So, if critics respond kindly, we could be looking at a big winner. Be sure to check out the trailer for yourself from the Universal Pictures YouTube channel.

Endgame Becomes a Horror Movie in IT Style Fan-Made Trailer

Someone has decided to do a mashup of two of the biggest sequels of the year and the results are pretty outstanding. Avengers: Endgame recently hit home video and IT Chapter Two is set to arrive in theaters next month. Other than being highly-anticipated follow-ups, the movies, on paper, are radically different. However, this remixed trailer shows that Avengers: Endgame could have been rather convincingly marketed as a horror movie, had Marvel chose to go that route.

The trailer kicks off with the gang in disarray following their first encounter with Thanos, who essentially is turned into Pennywise for the sake of presenting the narrative in this way. We then move onto getting the Avengers back together, which is sort of like The Losers Club re-assembling all those years later in IT Chapter Two. Once it gets to the meat of things, it's much less about action and it's more about overcoming fear in having to try and stop the Mad Titan once and for all.

What's amazing is how much actual, horrific tension is built into the trailer as presented. The video utilizes quite a bit of the score from IT, which gives it a very different feel, to be sure. To present Avengers: Endgame as a horror sequel, a lot of footage that wasn't unveiled until the movie hit theaters was also utilized, and it's hard to imagine pulling this off without it. But now that the sequel is available for everyone to watch over and over again from the comfort of their couch, we're sure to get more interesting takes on the material in the days and weeks to come.

Related: Gwyneth Paltrow Had No Clue Samuel L. Jackson Was in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Avengers: Endgame was burdened with great expectations ahead of its release earlier this year, much like IT Chapter Two has now as horror fans await the conclusion of the Stephen King adaptation. For the former movie, things worked out about as good as anyone could have possibly hoped for. Directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo delivered a sequel to infinity War that managed to satisfy both critics and fans alike, while also finding an unprecedented amount of commercial success, to the tune of $2.79 billion worldwide. That makes it the highest-grossing movie of all time, overtaking James Cameron's Avatar.

On that note, the first IT was a massive critical success that wound up grossing $700 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing horror movie of all time. That has placed tremendous pressure on returning director Andy Muschietti to deliver a satisfying conclusion to his epic tale in IT Chapter Two, which arrives in theaters on September 6. Maybe once that movie comes out someone can do a remixed trailer, making it look like The Losers Club and Pennywise are getting ready to mix it up Avengers: Endgame style? Be sure to check out the trailer for yourself from the Groot Studios YouTube channel below.

Terrence Malick Takes on Love & Nazis in WWII

Fox Searchlight has released the first trailer for A Hidden Life. This is the latest from acclaimed filmmaker Terrence Malick, who has had something of a cold streak in recent years. However, based on the early word coming out of Cannes earlier this year, this could be a return to greatness for the director behind movies such as Badlands and The Tree of Life. Based on this initial footage, this World War II epic seems like a surefire awards season contender and Oscar hopeful.

The trailer kicks off with some truly stunning landscape shots. It sets up the relationship at the center of this tale, going over the courtship and bond these two people share before they were ripped apart by the horrors of war. While WWII movies have been done many, many times in every imaginable way over the years, this looks rather unique, as we're presented with a German man who is conflicted about the leadership in his home country. It's a seemingly grounded, human tale, as opposed to a grand war epic.

A Hidden Life centers on the story of an unsung hero by the name of Franz Jägerstätter. He refused to fight for the Nazis in World War II. The Austrian peasant farmer was faced with the threat of execution for treason. Yet, his faith was unwavering and his love for his family helped to keep his spirit alive. The cast includes August Diehl, Valerie Pachner, Maria Simon, Tobias Moretti, Bruno Ganz, Matthias Schoenaerts, Karin Neuhäuser and Ulrich Matthes.

Aside from looking like the sort of thing that is destined to rack up a number of Academy Award nominations, this could be a crucial movie for Fox Searchlight. Disney merged with Fox earlier this year and, so far, things have been a bit rocky. Disney axed most of Fox's development slate and the future for many projects remains uncertain. Fox Searchlight is a haven for indie movies. The banner's upcoming slate, which also includes Taika Waititi's Jojo Rabbit, a title that also focuses on WWII, yet in a very different way, will need to convince Disney these types of movies are worth investing in. That's no small task.

Recent Terrence Malick efforts, such as Song to Song and Knight of Cups failed to garner much mainstream attention. However, this has earned some of his best reviews in years and looks to be a return to form for the auteur. It currently boasts a 74 percent approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. And let's not forget the last time Malick tackled WWII, we got The Thin Red Line. Malick penned the screenplay in addition to directing. Dario Bergesio, Josh Jeter, Elisabeth Bentley and Marcus Loges serve as producers. A Hidden Life is set to arrive in theaters on December 13. Be sure to check out the trailer from the Fox Searchlight YouTube channel for yourself.

Greta Gerwig's All-Star Take on a Literary Classic

Sony Pictures has finally released the first trailer for Little Women. This serves as Greta Gerwig's directorial follow-up to 2017's Lady Bird, which almost instantly puts this in the Oscar conversation on that point alone. Yet, we also have a new take on some truly treasured source material, in addition to a truly impressive ensemble cast.

The trailer kicks off by painting a picture of the special bond shared between the sisters at the heart of the story. We also get a strong sense for Jo, played by Saoirse Ronan, who is a progressive woman in her time, doing her best to make her own way in the world, despite being told that's not the way things work. Dramatic tension is built as relationships begin to form. The key takeaways here are how stunning and lush the movie looks, as it's clear Sony was willing to spend some money to make this thing look top-notch. It's also very clear that Greta Gerwig has a specific take on the source material and this will set itself apart from previous adaptations.

Related: Emma Watson Replaces Emma Stone in Greta Gerwig's Little Women Remake

Per the studio, Greta Gerwig has crafted an adaptation of Little Women that is inspired by both the classic novel and further writings of author Louisa May Alcott. The story unfolds as the author's alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life. The story centers on the March sisters, four young women each determined to live life on her own terms. Alcott's tale was originally published in two volumes between 1868 and 1869, before being collected in a full novel in 1890. The story has been adapted numerous times in the past, with the most successful being the 1994 movie starring Winona Ryder. The BBC also aired a well-regarded miniseries based on the book in 2017.

The ensemble includes Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn) as Jo, Emma Watson (Beauty and the Beast) as Meg, Florence Pugh (Midsommar) as Amy and Eliza Scanlen (Sharp Objects) as Beth. Timothee Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name) also stars as their neighbor Laurie, with Laura Dern (Big Little Lies) as Marmee and Meryl Streep (Florence Foster Jenkins) as Aunt March. Originally, Emma Stone was eyed for the role of Meg, but had to drop out, paving the way for Watson to take her place. In any event, the cast has several Oscar nominees and a handful of Hollywood's most respected young stars. And Steep, who has the most Oscar nominations of anyone in history.

Last time Greta Gerwig and Saoirse Ronan teamed up, great things happened. Lady Bird was a critical smash, going on to earn $78 million at the box office. It also racked up a handful of Oscar nominations, including one for Gerwig as Best Director, making her one of very few women to ever earn a nomination in that category. Will lightning strike twice? We'll find out this Christmas as Little Women is set to hit theaters on December 25. Be sure to check out the trailer from the Sony Pictures Entertainment YouTube channel for yourself.

Eddie Murphy Is Comedy Legend Rudy Ray Moore

Netflix has dropped the first trailer for Dolemite Is My Name!. Eddie Murphy stars in the movie as the outrageous and original Rudy Ray Moore who was many things over the years, including a comedian, musician, singer, actor, and producer. After a string of dead end jobs and entertainment oppurtunities, Moore decided to go into the world of comedy, which is where he crafted the Dolemite persona. Dolemite Is My Name will tell that story and it looks like Eddie Murphy was the perfect choice to take on the larger then life persona.

The Dolemite Is My Name trailer is just as outlandish and unconventional as blaxploitation legend Rudy Ray Moore was in real life. The biopic was written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, the writers behind Man On The Moon, The People Vs. Larry Flynt, and Ed Wood. By looking at the first footage, it's clear this isn't going to be a paint-by-numbers affair, which is refreshing. Eddie Murphy nails some of the foul-mouthed character's mannerisms almost too perfectly.

Related: Wesley Snipes, Mike Epps, Craig Robinson Join Dolemite Is My Name Biopic

Dolemite Is My Name will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and then it will have a limited theatrical release in the fall before streaming on Netflix. The biopic was directed by Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow) and follows Rudy Ray Moore's mission to make the Dolemite character become a worldwide sensation. Starring alongside Eddie Murphy are Tituss Burgess, Craig Robinson, Mike Epps, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Keegan-Michael Key, Snoop Dogg, and Wesley Snipes. Brewer is working with Snipes and Murphy again on the upcoming Coming 2 America, which will reportedly begin shooting this fall after the press tour for Dolemite Is My Name winds down.

The original Dolemite movies were far from big budget Hollywood productions. They were the complete opposite and they feature some of the most legendary mistakes and wooden acting anyone has ever seen, which adds to their unique charm. Craig Brewer likened it to when he and his friends were first starting to get into the world of making movies. He had this to say about taking on Dolemite Is My Name.

"We would all get together and watch various independent films, and specifically classic blaxploitation movies, and Dolemite was that movie we'd always watch because of its glorious flaws. (Laughs) But as much as Rudy Ray Moore comes off as this wonderfully strong character, his story is really an underdog story, and I've always been drawn to movies of people who don't have much but do a hell of a lot with it, and that's what got me really interested once I read the script that Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander sent to me.

At first I thought it was a Dolemite remake, and I was like, 'I know that there's probably a way you can make fun of it, but I don't know if I feel comfortable doing it.' But finally when I got past the first page, I was like, 'Oh, this is about Rudy,' and then it felt like it made sense to me."

Rudy Ray Moore passed away in 2008, but his legend still lives on. He has been called the Godfather of Rap and it would be nearly impossible to find all the times he is mentioned or sampled in the world of hip hop. Fans of the blaxploitation legend will finally be able to get a look at Dolemite Is My Name this fall, though Netflix has yet to announce any official dates at this time, except for the TIFF in September. You can watch the trailer for Dolemite Is My Name below, thanks to the Netflix YouTube channel.

Double Tap International Trailer Brings New Footage & More Zoey Deutch

We have a brand new, international trailer for Zombieland Double Tap. This is one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the fall season and its release is creeping up fast. So far, we've seen just the one, main trailer, which was released by Sony last month, in addition to a couple of posters. Bearing that in mind, any additional footage at this point is valuable. While there's not a ton to speak of, this latest trailer does bring with it just enough new, not-spoilery footage to make it worth watching.

This trailer is a bit more lean than the main trailer. It skips the dramatic bit at the beginning in favor of jumping right to the action and carnage. It also shifts around a lot of the previous footage in a different order, while losing some of the extended bits. However, there are a few, slightly different shots. The main attraction here is an entirely new bit involving a new character by the name of Madison, played by Zoey Deutch, daughter of 80s icon and Back to the Future star Lea Thompson. Madison, at least on first glance, doesn't appear to be the brightest bulb in the bunch. It makes one question how someone like her survived all this time, which will surely be addressed within the sequel's runtime.

The entire core cast from the original is returning, including Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin. New cast members joining in on the action include Rosario Dawson, Zoey Deutch, Luke Wilson and Thomas Middleditch. As we saw in the first trailer, there's going to be a bit involving doppelgangers. We've seen the ones for Columbus and Tallahassee, yet it begs the question, who did they get to double Wichita and Little Rock? Who could pass for Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin? That could prove to be a fun reveal come opening weekend.

Related: First Zombieland 2 Poster Pulls the Double Tap at Comic-Con

While it still feels like there is a lot about the movie we don't know, that plot will see the original gang of four, Tallahassee, Wichita, Little Rock and Columbus, making their way to the White House and through the heartland of America. They must face off against various new varieties of zombies that have evolved in the decade since the events of the first installment, as well as some new human survivors, while also having to face the growing pains that come with their snarky, makeshift family.

Ruben Fleischer (Venom) is returning to the director's chair after having helmed the original. Original writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool) also returned to pen the screenplay, with an assist from Dave Callaham (The Expendables). So the entire creative team that helped make the first movie a success is back. It took a very long time to get this sequel made, but will it be worth the wait? We'll know soon enough, as Zombieland: Double Tap is set to arrive in theaters on October 18 from Sony Pictures. Be sure to check out the new international trailer for yourself.

Running with the Devil Trailer Teams Nicolas Cage & Laurence Fishburne in Cocaine Thriller

Quiver Distribution dropped the trailer for the Nicolas Cage-led thriller Running with the Devil today. The National Treasure actor stars alongside the Matrix's Laurence Fishburne in the drug trafficking flick where, "From the fields to the streets, everyone is running with the devil."

When a cocaine shipment is compromised, the drug cartel's CEO, known as The Boss (Crawl's Barry Pepper) orders his most trusted henchman, Cage's The Cook, to audit the company's supply chain. Or as Nicolas Cage says in the trailer, he has "administrative issues [he has] to attend to." Joining him on the dangerous journey is a master drug trafficker known as The Man (Academy Award Nominee Laurence Fishburne).

The drugs are making their "perilous trek across international borders past gangsters, refiners, and couriers," but they're also being tracked by Federal Agents under The Agent in Charge played by Leslie Bibb (Iron Man) who, the trailer tells us, doubles the task force. Unfortunately, by the time The Cook realizes where the drug network is breaking down, it may be too late. He might not be able to keep the cartel and The Boss satisfied.

The film is written and directed by Jason Cabell. This will be his first solo directorial project and the second film he has penned. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cabell, a former Navy SEAL, pulled from his real-life experiences to create the film. He reportedly served in more than 100 countries, including a stint in which he worked closely with the DEA in Colombia.

Running With the Devil is produced by Patriot Pictures' Michael Mendelsohn alongside Jim Steele (Vengeance: A Love Story and USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage). Mike Nilon, Etchie Stroh and Natalie Perrotta are executive producing. The film stars Nicolas Cage as The Cook, Cole Hauser as The Executioner, Clifton Collins Jr. as The Farmer, Laurence Fishburne as The Man, Leslie Bibb as The Agent in Charge, Barry Pepper as The Boss, Peter Facinelli as Number One, Adam Goldberg as The Snitch, Natalia Reyes as The Woman, Sarah Minnich as The Wife, and Tait Fletcher as The Collector.

Nicolas Cage has amassed a filmography of more than 100 films that range anywhere from romantic or family comedies like Moonstruck and The Family Man, cult classics like Face/Off and Gone in 60 Seconds, despised films like The Wicker Man and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and largely unseen movies like Pay the Ghost and Dying of the Light.

He's found moderate success in a couple of his recent projects, however. He lended his voice for a small role in the hugely successful, both critically and financially, Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. Cage played the noir version of Spider-Man in the uniquely animated film. His recent trek into surrealism and violence found solid reviews. Mandy follows a couple who find tragedy during a run-in with a hippie cult and demon-biker henchmen in a secluded forest. In other words, we don't know what to expect from a Cage film these days, but the new trailer has us curious.

Running With the Devil hits theaters on September 20. The trailer comes direct from Quiver Distribution.

Running with the Devil Trailer Teams Nicolas Cage & Laurence Fishburne in Cocaine Thriller

Gary Oldman Takes a Terrifying Boat Trip with Evil Kids

RLJE Films has revealed a new trailer for the upcoming thriller Mary. The movie stars Oscar-winner Gary Oldman, who is one of those actors that has had such an amazingly varied career that has seen him play virtually every type of character in every type of movie imaginable. This time around, we get to see Oldman lending his talents to a supernatural horror flick, which takes place almost entirely on a boat.

The trailer kicks off with Gary Oldman as a man who is trying to start a new chapter of his life. A chapter that involved buying an old boat and sailing around the world happily ever after with his family. Things devolve rather quickly when they're out on the water as the family's youngest daughter conjures up an imaginary friend and begins acting very strange. As it turns out, this boat has something of a troubled history and everyone aboard is subjected to some terrifying happenings. One particular line from the trailer rather succinctly describes the very specific kind of horror on display here.

"The thing about boats is that there's nowhere to run."

This comes from director Michael Goi and writer Anthony Jaswinski. Goi, for his part, doesn't have a ton of experience directing features. He does, however, have a great deal of experience directing prestige TV, having worked on shows such as American Horror Story, Empire and Swamp Thing. Goi has also served as a cinematographer on more than 70 projects. Jaswinski, meanwhile, penned the shark flick The Shallows, which starred Blake Lively. So the content of Mary seems right up both of their alleys.

Mary centers on David ( Gary Oldman), a struggling blue-collar man hoping to provide his family with a better life. David becomes mysteriously drawn to an abandoned ship that happens to be up for auction. He buys the boat on an impulse with the belief it can be the ticket to his family's happiness. Not long after they set off on their maiden journey, strange and terrifying events begin to make life difficult for David and his family. As a result, they begin to turn on one another and question their own sanity. Tensions are high as the ship is set off course, and it becomes terrifyingly obvious that they are being pulled toward a greater evil out at sea.

Emily Mortimer (The Newsroom) joins Gary Oldman in the cast. The movie is set to hold its premiere at Fright Fest in the U.K. on August 24. The rest of us will be able to see it when it arrives in theaters and on VOD on October 11. On that date, it will be going up against director Ang Lee's sci-fi/action flick Gemini Man, which stars Will Smith, as well as the new animated take on The Addams Family. Be sure to check out the Mary trailer from the RLJE Films YouTube channel for yourself.

Shia LaBeouf Plays His Own Dad in Fictionalized Biopic

Actor Shia LaBeouf is bringing his own experiences to the big screen in the upcoming film, Honey Boy, and Amazon Studios has released the trailer. Written by the actor himself, the film presents a fictionalized version of Labeouf's experiences as a young actor with a stormy childhood and rocky early adult years. It explores his struggle to reconcile with his father, deal with his mental health, his quick ascent to stardom and "subsequent crash-landing into rehab and recovery".

Directed by Alma Har'el (Bombay Beach, LoveTrue), Honey Boy gives us a version of the early life of Shia LaBeouf through the character of Otis Lort. Played by Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place) in his younger years and Lucas Hedges (Boy Erased, Manchester by the Sea) in his early adulthood, Otis has to navigate the different stages of his career and the pressure and pain it causes. Dancer-singer FKA twigs makes her feature-film debut as a "neighbor and kindred spirit to the younger Otis in their garden-court motel home." Labeouf himself stars in the film as a version of his father, an ex-rodeo clown and a felon. According to the press release:

"A one-of-a-kind collaboration between filmmaker and subject, exploring art as medicine and imagination as hope through the life and times of a talented, traumatized performer who dares to go in search of himself."

Shia Labeouf has had a very long, successful career riddled with many, very public mistakes. Although his filmography stretches back to his early childhood, Shia really stepped into the bright spotlight on Disney Channel's hit show Even Stevens. A young kid at the time, Shia led the series as its quirky main character.

Related: Shia LaBeouf's Autobiographical Honey Boy Is Coming to Theaters This November

When he portrayed the leading role in the feature film adaptation of the Young Adult novel Holes, Labeouf's name spread throughout the business, ultimately landing him the role of Sam Witwicky in the first four installments of the Transformers franchise which remains a worldwide box office success. His career trajectory kept him in the news with wonderful performances in Lawless, Fury and others, as well as controversial roles in Nymphomaniac Volumes I and II.

The trailer gives us glimpses of some of these monumental moments. It opens with the older Otis strapped to wires as he's thrown back in an explosion, the type of explosion Michael Bay would do in a Transformers film. We see a young Otis enthralled in a high-energy performance with a blonde wig on the set of a goofy sitcom, something Louis Stevens certainly could have done.

Most intriguing, however, are the glimpses of his life that have been adapted for the film. Similar to the accident seen in the trailer, Labeouf was involved in a very public car accident that left him with a damaged hand. He has also had multiple run-ins with police for drunk and disorderly conduct which the film appears to explore. Labeouf's addiction struggles are extensive and well documented, but it seems the talented actor is ready to shed some light on the more private aspects of his life like his relationship with his father, and fans are ready to listen.

The 93 minute film is produced by Har'el, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Daniela Taplin Lundberg, Anita Gou and Christopher Leggett. Executive Producers are Fred Berger, Rafael Marmor, Daniel Crown and Bill Benenson. Honey Boy is produced by Automatik and Delirio, in association with Stay Gold Features, Kindred Spirit and Red Crown Productions.

Amazon Studios will release Honey Boy in theaters on November 8, 2019. Check out the Official Trailer and the slightly longer Red Band trailer below.

Bloodlines Trailer Turns Amazon Warrior Diana Prince Into a True Hero

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Wonder Woman: Bloodlines. This is the latest in what DC has dubbed simply the DC Universe Movies, but it comes from a much longer line of animated DC Comics adaptations that, on the whole, have been embraced in a big way by fans. Where some of the live-action movies have left something to be desired in the eyes of many, these animated offerings tend to please and this looks to be no exception, as we've got a big, slick spectacle on the way.

The trailer kicks off with the familiar origin story for Diana Prince, who decides to become a hero to the human race after saving a man named Steve Trevor. Beyond that, the footage we see here is loaded down with action. We see Wonder Woman duking it out with the likes of Giganta, amongst many other foes. Things eventually shift back to her island home of Themyscira, before reaching the epic, explosion-filled conclusion. Overall, this looks like yet another winner for the animated corner of the DC Universe.

The voice cast is led by Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman. The ensemble also includes Jeffrey Donovan as Steve Trevor, Marie Avgeropoulos as Silver Swan, Adrienne C. Moore as Etta Candy, Kimberly Brooks as The Cheetah/Giganta, Courtenay Taylor as Dr. Poison, Constance Zimmer as Veronica Cale, Nia Vardalos as Julia Kapatelis, Michael Dorn as Ferdinand, Cree Summer as Hippolyta, Mozhan Marno as Dr. Cyber and Ray Chase as Lead Bandit. Justin Copeland (Batman: Hush) and Sam Liu (Justice League vs the Fatal Five) serve as co-directors.

Wonder Woman: Bloodlines centers on Amazon princess Diana. While living on her island home of Themyscira, she decides to rescue fighter pilot Steve Trevor and return him to his home in America. This sets in motion one of Wonder Woman's most captivating chapters. Diana serves as both ambassador as well as protector and quickly earns the name Wonder Woman from the people of Earth. Equally strong in body, heart and will, she takes it upon herself to help a troubled young girl who has been taken in by the deadly organization Villainy, Inc., whose members, all of whom are criminals, have their sights set on invading Diana's home Themyscira.

This should, at the very least, help to fill the void until Gal Gadot returns as the beloved DC hero next year in Wonder Woman 1984. The live-action sequel also sees Patty Jenkins returning to the director's chair and will take the action to the 80s during the Cold War. With any luck, we'll be getting a teaser trailer before year's end. While no official release date has been announced as of this writing, it's expected that Wonder Woman: Bloodlines will arrive this fall on Digital HD, Blu-ray/DVD and 4K Ultra HD. Be sure to check out the new trailer for yourself, which was first revealed by IGN.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers Is a Wanted Killer on the Run [Exclusive]

What if you awoke from a coma with no idea who you were or how you got there, only to discover you were a wanted serial killer? That's what happens to Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the new high-tension thriller Awake. The movie, directed by Alex Cher and Fedor Lyass, is coming to Blu-ray and DVD this fall after a digital and VOD release later this month.

Today, we have a first look at Awake with an exclusive trailer. Arriving from Cinedigm, we also have the poster, which features Jonathan Rhys Meyers and his leading lady Francesca Eastwood lost amongst the trees as they both realize that, 'some nightmares happen after you're awake.'

Awake will release on digital and VOD on August 16, with a Blu-ray and DVD release to follow on September 24, 2019. Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Vikings, Match Point) and Francesca Eastwood (Outlaws and Angels, M.F.A.) star in this edge-of-your-seat thriller written by Elana Zeltser and directed by Alex Cher, a veteran Russian director and co-director Fedor Lyass making their English language feature debut with the film.  Additional cast members include veteran actors Malik Yoba (New York Undercover) and William Forsythe (The Devil's Rejects).

Awake centers on a man (Meyers) who wakes up in a hospital bed with no recollection of who he is or why he is there, but quickly learns he's the lead suspect in a series of murders and is now wanted by the police. With the help of a trusting nurse (Eastwood), he manages to stay one step ahead of the detectives hunting him down.  As he uncovers some hard truths about his past, he quickly realizes some nightmares happen after you're awake.

On a quiet evening, a shabby beige sedan speeds down a country highway. Dust and gravel fly through the air when suddenly the car slides out of control into a ravine. Later a man wakes up in a hospital bed with no recollection of who he is or how he got there.

His nurse Diana (Francesca Eastwood) is unable to find any identification and refers to him as John Doe (Jonathan Rhys Meyers). The police barge into the hospital, accusing John of being a serial killer responsible for the murder of several young women in the area. As the Sergeant ushers John into a private room for questioning, he manages to escape with the help of Diana, who is convinced of his innocence.

The fugitives then set off for the last crime scene in search of clues and answers to clear John's name but the benevolent nurse will soon uncover the shocking truth behind the amnesiac's identity and the web of deceit that will lead him to a final fight for his survival.

Awake was produced by Katerina Valenti, Andre Relis and Jessica Bennett. Executive producers include Alex Cher, Luke Taylor, Patrick DePeters, and Matthew Helderman. Financing for the film was provided by Bondit Media Capital and Archer Film Productions. The movie runs 92 minutes and has not been rated by the MPAA. An Extreme Haunted House Movie from the Writers of A Quiet Place

A terrifying new horror thriller is coming our way from the writers of A Quiet Place and producer Eli Roth. The Haunt trailer dropped and it's definitely a departure from the near-silent film Scott Beck and Bryan Woods did with John Krasinski. Here is the official synopsis.

On Halloween, a group of friends encounter an "extreme" haunted house that promises to feed on their darkest fears. The night turns deadly as they come to the horrifying realization that some monsters are real.

Written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, Haunt delivers on the "horrifying" in a way that only its producer Eli Roth (Hostel) can. The trailer introduces us to stars Katie Stevens (The Bold Type), Will Brittain (Clementine) and Lauryn Alisa McClain (Step Up: High Water) as they arrive at an elaborate haunted house. Through a lens of eerie yellows, blues and red lights we see the torture and disturbing imagery the film has to offer. All atop a slowed down, rewritten lullaby, of course. In one of the images, we see Stevens as a horrified Harper. In a recent interview, Woods had this to say about the leading lady.

"Her character is this young woman who's in this horrifyingly abusive relationship. It all comes to a head on the week leading up to Halloween. The whole idea is, like, Can I just let go, and have a good night, and move past this? All the while, we think that her ex- is following her, stalking her. We're trying to merge this character story with kind of slasher tropes."

The creators Scott Beck and Bryan Woods hit the ground running with their first major project, A Quiet Place. With not much outside of shorts and TV movies to their writing filmography, the duo joined with The Office's John Krasinski to create the breakout success. A Quiet Place topped $300 million worldwide despite its modest budget and quiet screenplay, leading it to earn a quickly greenlit sequel due to hit theaters in 2020.

Haunt will likely be a tight story as well, clocking in at just over 90 minutes. But when you replace a Krasinski with a Roth, you get a very different movie. Eli Roth has appeared on screen in films such as Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards as Sgt. Donny Donowitz and as Dov in his Death Proof, but he's most notable for his horror productions. Roth produced films like Cabin Fever, both Hostels and The Last Exorcisms and a variety of horror TV limited series and TV shorts, including a 7-episode documentary series titled Eli Roth's History of Horror that examines the history and significance of horror in pop culture. With this man on your side, you know you can expect big scares, a lot of gore, and a strong fan-base.

Haunt will make its world premiere at the 2019 Popcorn Frights Film Festival on August 8, an event the creators call a "great opportunity." It will then hit theaters and On Demand/Digital on September 13. The interview comes to us from Entertainment Weekly

The Addams Family Trailer #2 Brings Halloween's First Family to New Jersey

The Addams Family trailer is here and it puts the focus on the eccentric kooky family's latest adventure. We're about to see one of America's favorite clans as they move to New Jersey and into today's modern world. The first full-length trailer finds the family out of place and out of step with avenger ordinary folk, so they have a bit to learn while teaching the people around them about accepting differences at the same time. All of the family's charm from the original TV show is on full display, but with a modern twist.

The first family of Halloween, The Addams Family, is back on the big screen in the first animated comedy about the kookiest family on the block. Funny, outlandish, and completely iconic, The Addams Family redefines what it means to be a good neighbor. The animated movie stars Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Snoop Dogg as Cousin IT, with Bette Midler and Allison Janney. The movie also stars Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara, Tituss Burgess, Jenifer Lewis, Elsie Fisher, and Aimee Garcia.

The Addams Family trailer begins with a bat flying into the family's house as Morticia opens the window with an ominous view. "What a lovely morning!" she declares, which is a truly Addams thing to say. From there on out, we see some familiar faces, along with some new ones and even the debut of Snoop Dogg's Cousin IT at the very end. Speaking of IT, there's also a Pennywise the Dancing Clown reference as Wednesday walks in the house with a red balloon. Apparently even the Addams family aren't into creepy clowns.

The Addams Family is a satirical inversion of the ideal American family; an eccentric, wealthy clan who delight in the macabre and are unaware that people find them bizarre or frightening. They originally appeared as an unrelated group of 150 single panel cartoons by Charles Addams, about half of which were originally published in The New Yorker between debuting in 1938 and Addams' 1988 death. They have since been adapted to other media, including the well-known television series, a series of live-action movies, video games, and most recently a Broadway musical.

Sausage Party directors Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan are at the helm of The Addams Family animated movie from a script by Matt Lieberman, which is based on Charles Addams' iconic cartoon series. Vernon and Tiernan also serve as producers along with Alex Schwartz. The project is executive produced by Andrew Mittman, Kevin Miserocchi, and Joe Earley. Expectations and excitement are high to see The Addams Family on the big screen again, so it will be interesting to see how today's younger audience reacts to the legendary family and their creepy and kooky ways. The movie doesn't hit theaters until October 11th, but you can check out the trailer below, thanks to the MGM YouTube channel.

IT Chapter Two International TV Trailer Teases Iconic Paul Bunyan Attack

A brand new Korean TV trailer for IT Chapter Two has surfaced online. We're about a month out from round two with Pennywise and The Losers Club, which means we're going to be bombarded with TV spots, images, interviews and everything in between. While not every shred of that information is going to be worth covering, this particular bit of footage has some merit to it, as it teases a faithful adaptation of one of the most insane scenes from Stephen King's original novel.

The teaser takes a lot of the footage we've seen in the previous two trailers and reorganizes it into a thrilling, concise and creepy 30-second tease of what's to come. There are brief blink-and-you'll-miss-it new moments in there. The most significant of these moments has to do with the character of Richie, who has an encounter with a large Paul Bunyan statue. The statue itself has been teased in prior trailers. Here though, in a brief shot, we see the statue attacking Richie. This is pulled right from the book as, at one point, Pennywise takes the form of the statue and attacks Richie. We see a very short moment of this as the statue crashes down onto a park bench, with Richie narrowly escaping.

Related: IT Chapter Two Runtime Confirmed by Director and It's Gloriously Long

It had been hinted at previously by both director Andy Muschietti and writer Gary Dauberman that this movie was going to contain some faithful, strange, and in some cases potentially upsetting, scenes from the book. We know that the Ritual of Chud is going to be brought to the screen in some form, and that Xavier Dolan will be playing Adrian Mellon, a particularly noteworthy character from the novel who is a gay man that falls victim to a violent hate crime. So, the fact that this Paul Bunyan bit is being included isn't terribly surprising, though it is rather amazing to see.

While Chapter One focused entirely on The Losers Club as kids, the sequel will be utilizing the young cast as well as adult actors who are portraying the group 27 years after the events of the first movie. The actors tasked with bringing the adult Losers to life include James McAvoy (Bill Denbrough), Jessica Chastain (Beverly Marsh), Bill Hader (Richie Tozier), Isaiah Mustafa (Mike Hanlon), Jay Ryan (Ben Hanscom), James Ransone (Eddie Kaspbrak) and Andy Bean (Stanley Uris). Bill Skarsgard, rather importantly, is also returning as Pennywise.

IT went on to become an unexpectedly huge success, grossing $700 million worldwide, which was enough to make it the highest-grossing horror movie of all time. As such, the filmmakers have been allowed to take some chances and bring some bold sequences to the screen. And we'll have plenty of time to witness all of the bloody happenings, as the movie clocks in at 2 hours and 45 minutes. Warner Bros. is set to release IT Chapter Two in theaters on September 6. Be sure to check out the new Korean TV spot for yourself.

Ronda Rousey Fights Killer Tables and It's Pretty Bonkers

Ronda Rousey has released a trailer for a horror movie called Tables. There isn't some hidden meaning in that title either. It's literally a B horror flick about killer furniture. Some of her wrestling friends are along for the ride, with Travis Browne, Julia DeMars, Devon Hughes and Saraya Bevis all popping up in this utterly bizarre creation. It's so bizarre, one has to wonder, is this even real?

The trailer kicks off with Ronda Rousey and a few of her wrestling buddies getting together in a secluded cabin for a quiet getaway. It seems peaceful, until it doesn't. Things quickly devolve as wrestler D-Von discovers some tables, yes regular tables, are stalking them in the woods. Instead of staying "dead" they are multiplying, which is problematic since these tables have killer instincts. The rest of the trailer plays out like a standard, horribly low budget in-the-woods slasher, only with murderous inanimate objects, as opposed to people with knives and such. A brief logline was also released, which reads as follows.

"All hell breaks loose on a peaceful retreat as a strange and violent force terrorizes Browsey Acres. The stipulations have changed for Ronda Rousey and friends in the brand new survival horror, Tables."

This whole thing sprang up because Devon "D-Von Dudley" Hughes destroyed a great many tables during his wrestling career. The idea is that these tables are now coming back for revenge. Chicago-based cinematographer Kyle Nilges and writer/producer Justin Golightly co-directed the creation and, best as we can tell, that's how it came to be.

There seems to be an awful lot of confusion as to whether or not this is a real, feature-length movie. Are we going to see more than this trailer released down the line? Certain outlets can't quite figure out the situation in that regard. Doing some digging, it seems more like this is just a trailer designed to sell some related promotional products, what they describe as a "ridiculous amount" of said products, such as shirts. On an official page for the project, the following is stated.

"The world of Tables doesn't end with the trailer. We have deleted scenes, a gag reel, and a ridiculous amount of Tables promotional stuff! Testify!"

Best as we can figure, there is no full-length movie. It's a trailer and a gag reel, both of which we've included for you to check out. We also have a poster and a couple of Instagram posts Ronda Rousey put up to help promote Tables around the time the trailer dropped. Even though it doesn't appear as though a full movie is making its way online or, heaven forbid, in theaters, this trailer is absolutely bonkers and falls squarely in the needs to be seen to be believed category. Check out the Tables trailer from the Ronda Rousey YouTube channel for yourself.

Meet the Stuntman Who Helped Inspire Tarantino's Once Upon a Time

'Stuntmen don't fear death, they defy it!' That's the motto behind iconic Hollywood stuntman Gary Kent. He serves as one of the inspirations behind Bard Pitt's character in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Kent is now profiled in the high flying, danger ducking new documentary Danger God, which will leave you breathless. Wild Eye Releasing has our first look at the trailer.

Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has been tearing up the box office for the past two weeks, and it has ignited quite a bit of conversation, perhaps more than any other movie released this summer. At the heart of this Tinseltown fantasia rests the relationship between fading Western star Rick Dalton and his longtime stuntman Cliff Booth. Both characters have been culled from numerous inspirations, with Gary Kent one of the many to help fuel the tales we see play out.

Gary Kent is just one of the inspirations for Brad Pitt's character in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and we get to see what makes him so special as profiled in director Joe O'Connell's Danger God. The famed filmmaker 'loosely' based Pitt's stuntman character 'Cliff Booth' on Kent, and his own run in with the Manson Family at Spahn Ranch. That interaction serves as a key set piece in Tarantino's drama, and is one of the most tense scenes in the entire film.

Available on digital August 6 and on DVD September 17, Danger God fixes in on one of the legends of the game, Gary Kent. Though the king of B movies in the Sixties and Seventies, working for indie directors from Richard Rush to Ray Dennis Steckler to Al Adamson, Kent tackled even larger real-life challenges.

Professional stuntman Gary Kent has made a hard-earned name for himself in over 50 years of falling, burning, jumping, fighting and breaking himself for some of the most cherished independent and B-movies of the 20th Century. This is his story, from the anything goes days of the drive-in era, including his run in with Charles Manson and his infamous family, to his personal battles and triumphs with health, alcoholism and love. Features interviews with Monte Hellman, Duane Eddy, Richard Rush, Marc Singer and more.

Danger God is available from Wild Eye Releasing on digital August 6 and on DVD September 17. Along with the trailer, we also have the colorful poster for the movie, which looks like it could slide right in with Once Upon a Time In Hollywood's marketing, and may be required viewing for any one enamored with Tarantino's latest and some of the true tall tales that rest behind it.
